I have a very dear friend that I go to college with. His mom has been dying of leukemia. Just recently a group of our friends got together to try and raise donations to help out with any medical bill and possible funeral costs. Well now it's not just a possible cost. The funeral is this coming saturday and so far all we've raised is $35 on the donation page and $51.83 in cash donated from friends at the college. If anyone can find it in their heart to donate even a dollar or two it would be greatly appreciated. The family for now is unaware we're doing this to help them. So my mom has been awake since last sunday. She can talk and move around some. She answers questions though it still takes her a bit to comprehend what was asked. She goes into rehab in the next few days and then in about 2-3 weeks will be home with 24 hr supervision. No stairs for her!!! She's doing a lot better though. Better than the doctor had hoped for at first. She wont need a nursing home now and she should be better before the end of say...November. I think pretty soon she'll also be able to start making her own medical decisions. Which is effing awesome.  Can't wait to see how well she does. P.S. TAQUITOS!!! AND A CLOWN WITH NO HEAD

So right now the doctor says she's in a light coma but he's pretty hopeful that she'll wake up and be able to talk and walk and feed herself. But he can't guarantee that just yet. For all we really know she could wake up not knowing anything and have to go to a nursing home. At the moment we're just waiting and watching. She has a fracture that goes around her temple through the side of her skull and multiple fractures across her face. There's a little bleeding still around her brain and there's some swelling.
